HBI033

After over a year of planning, recording & stressing, this split cassette presents the very first studio recordings of 3 piece This Weeks Leader and the very last studio recordings (referred to as "u no me") from the once full band turned semi-solo, studio project Antarctica. With this marks not just the end of an era but a new beginning in the songwriting styles and creative pursuits of both Philip Dekat and Schmieshmar as 2014 has in store musically the most diverse projects either have pursued to date.
This 40 minutes isn't for us. It's for you. Thanks for letting us use your stuff.

This Weeks Leader is Philip Dekat on guitar, Ryan Chapman on drums and Quade Ross on bass. All recording done live by the band on a standard Realistic single cassette deck in Fortuna, CA Jan 2014. Additional mastering done by Kit Lamb.

All instruments and sounds on "u no me" (except the end guitar solo on track 4 which was performed by Hunter Petersen [aka 9000]) were written, programmed and performed by Quade Ross. Recorded between Jan 2011 - July 2013 by Kit Lamb really close to the Fabshire in Eureka,CA.

Cover art drawn by Diego Aguilar and designed by Quade Ross.
